Clinic Manager
Graeme Carter
Graeme graduated from Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2004. After completing 3 years with the NHS at South Manchester University Hospitals, Graeme joined Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic in 2007. Graeme has a post graduate Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine and uses manual therapy, persistent pain management and exercises prescription approach to physiotherapy. Graeme has attended many post-graduate courses in order to provide the best patient management and extend his clinical skills. Having been a professional footballer for Middlesbrough F.C. and later a physiotherapist for their academy this has exposed Graeme to the elite sporting environment. Graeme also has 15 years experience in the private sector treating sports injuries, back pain amongst many other musculoskeletal conditions.
Clinic Manager
Gareth Kershaw
Gareth qualified from the Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2002. He started his career in the NHS at North Manchester General Hospital gaining experience in many areas of physiotherapy practice specifically adult orthopaedic outpatients and inpatients. Gareth joined the Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic team in January 2005 and has further developed his skills in the musculoskeletal area of physiotherapy, he has gained a post-graduate diploma in orthopaedic medicine as well as many other post graduate courses including acupuncture, sports rehab, myofascial release, chronic pain education and pilates. Gareth has a very direct approach to physiotherapy involving a variety of effective treatments both ‘hands-on’ and exercise based to provide a holistic approach to patient management. Gareth has played amateur golf for many years and has an excellent understanding of rehabilitation from golfing injuries.
Physiotherapist
Steve Loveridge
Steve qualified in 2005 from a Masters in Rehabilitation science at Brighton University with licence to practice physiotherapy. Steve has a Sports Science background having attained an honours degree in Sports Science and Biology at Nottingham Trent University in 2002. After completing 3 and half years with the NHS at South Manchester University Hospitals; Steve joined Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic in 2009. Steve has a very exercise based approach along with acute treatment techniques and has attended many post- graduate courses to progress his treatment techniques; including Acupuncture, Orthopaedic medicine and Know pain. Over the past few years Steve has developed an interest in both acute sport rehab and chronic pain. The clinic has developed a pain education course “Know More Pain” which Steve leads along with Emma Bates.
Steve is very active; a member of “Marple Runners”, he does a lot or running, in addition to playing football along with regular strength and conditioning sessions to maintain fitness and avoid injury.
Physiotherapist
Suzanne Wong
Suzanne graduated with a BSc Hons Physiotherapy degree from Southampton University in 2000. Prior to this, she completed a Human Biology degree at Leeds Metropolitan University in 1997. She undertook her basic grade rotations at Kettering General Hospital in 2002 before moving to a Band 6 MSK outpatient’s post at York District Hospital. She began working at Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic in 2007 and now works part time within the Outpatient’s dept. She has completed a variety of post graduate courses including acupuncture and certificates in Orthopaedic medicine and Spinal manual therapy.
Physiotherapist
Emma Bates
Emma qualified from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012, where after graduating she took a junior role within the NHS for 6 months, working in elderly patient rehab within an intermediate care setting. Emma joined the Hyde Physiotherapy Team in 2013 and combines exercise, acupuncture, manual therapy and electrotherapy treatments approaches to specifically meet patient needs. Some of the post-graduate courses Emma has attended include, pilates, acupuncture, manual therapy, manipulation and myofascial massage release techniques.
Emma runs two NHS pilates based exercise classes per week and two on a private basis which have proven to be very popular. In more recent years Emma has developed a strong interest in working with patients who have chronic pain and along with Steve Loveridge, Emma runs our pain education course “Know More ‘Pain”.
Physiotherapist
Kristin Marshall
Kristin was awarded a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy by MMU in 2015. On graduation she completed her general rotations at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport where she worked in Elderly Rehabilitation, Surgery and Critical Care, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Stroke Rehabilitation, and General Medicine before joining the team here at Hyde Physio in December 2018. To support her Physiotherapy practice, Kristin has completed post graduate study in Acupuncture and Pilates with accreditation from the AACP and APPI respectively. Kristin is a firm believer that exercise is the best medicine for musculoskeletal pain and runs our Strength, Balance and Conditioning class in the gym, helping patients to gain confidence in movement and make positive lifestyle changes to increase activity and reduce pain long term. In her own time away from Physio, Kristin enjoys CrossFit training and has a keen interest in learning about associated injuries and their management.
Senior Admin Clerk
Alison Moss
In 2008 Alison joined the team at Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic as admin clerk. In 2010 Alison was promoted to Senior admin clerk. Alison has a wealth of experience in the health industry, having worked for 10 years in local GP surgeries. Alison is fully qualified and has vast experience in beauty therapy and complimentary therapies having worked in the beauty industry.

Karen Lawton
Karen joined the team at Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic in December 2013. Karen started work at Tameside Hospital, providing admin support for the Lead Practitioner in Resuscitation, then joined Tameside and Glossop NHS Primary Care Trust providing Secretarial support for the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Team for over 10 years.

Louise Booth
Louise has over 18 years’ experience in a secretarial/administrative role. In that time, she has worked in the insurance industry and as a legal secretary. Louise joined the team at Hyde Physiotherapy Clinic and has become an integral part of our administrative team.
